Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year Home Health Aide experience, providing patient care to adults, is preferred or Certified Nurse Aide Certification required through successful completion of an approved program
- Demonstrated ability to read, write and carry out directions
- Evidence of maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a criminal history check conducted before being offered a position with the agency
- Evidence of sympathetic attitude toward elderly care
- Looking for growth within the company
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Activities of daily living assistance
- Bathing
- Grooming
- Toileting Assistance
- Nail care
- Range of motion/exercises assistance
- Transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices
- Oral feeding
- Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration
- Home Management Tasks: sweeping, meal preparation, linen changing, etc.
- Assisting with ambulation
- Medication assistance
